Suresh Bhushan, M.D.

Dr. Bhushan graduated with a medical degree from Bangalore Medical College, India in 1997, after which he relocated to the United Kingdom where he completed specialist training in psychiatry at The Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, in West Midlands, UK. In 2003 he relocated to New York where he trained in general adult psychiatry at The Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, one of the largest and busiest comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Programs in New York. He served as chief resident during the academic year 2006-2007. In 2007 he relocated to Nevada where he worked as a senior staff psychiatrist for Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health from 2007-2012 providing care both in inpatient and outpatient settings.

During his time in training in the UK and US, he has received extensive training under the guidance of renowned educators in the fields of emergency psychiatry, general adult psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, forensic psychiatry and electroconvulsive therapy.

He eventually moved into private practice in 2012 when he and two colleagues Drs. Wirjo and Manjooran formed Focus Mental Health Solutions.

Dr. Bhushan currently works as an inpatient psychiatrist at Southern Hills Hospital, Pavilion behavioral health unit. He is currently an active member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Nevada Psychiatry Association. His areas of interest include community psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, first-break psychosis, mood disorders, and neuropsychiatric disorders and electroconvulsive therapy.

Jonathan Still, M.D.

Managing Partner

Jonathan Still, M.D. is a native of California who is proud to call Las Vegas home. He graduated magna cum laude from Claremont McKenna College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry. He received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California in 2005 and completed his internship and residency in General Psychiatry at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 2009. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

During his residency, Dr. Still trained under nationally recognized experts in adult, adolescent, and child psychiatry and psychology. His training included multiple forms of psychotherapy, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), as well as specialized training in couples psychotherapy through the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA.

Dr. Still has extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry and has treated patients across a broad range of clinical settings. His current clinical practice is focused primarily on inpatient psychiatry and the treatment of individuals with severe mental illness. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as Chief Medical Officer of Desert Parkway Behavioral Healthcare Hospital and Director of Psychiatric Services at Harmon Hospital, where he is involved in clinical leadership, quality of care initiatives, and the delivery of psychiatric services to patients with complex behavioral health needs.

Dr. Still is the Managing Partner of Focus Mental Health Solutions, a Las Vegas-based psychiatric medical practice with more than 30 providers. In this role, he oversees the day-to-day management and strategic direction of the organization while working closely with its physicians, advanced practice providers, and administrative leadership. He is also heavily involved in business development and in cultivating and stewarding Focus Mental Health Solutions’ relationships with hospitals, healthcare organizations, community partners, and other stakeholders throughout Southern Nevada.

Throughout his career, Dr. Still has placed a strong emphasis on collaboration within the Las Vegas healthcare community. He values close working relationships with physicians, therapists, hospitals, schools, and other community partners to improve access to high-quality behavioral healthcare. He also remains committed to the education and mentorship of future physicians and has provided education and clinical supervision to psychiatric resident physicians.

Dr. Still is married to Meredith, a Las Vegas native, and they are the proud parents of their daughter, Julianne.

Jonathan Wirjo, D.O.

Dr. Jonathan Wirjo is one of the founding members of Focus Mental Health Solutions. He graduated as the chief resident from the psychiatry residency program at the University of Nevada, School of Medicine in 2012. During his training, he quickly recognized the need for quality mental health treatment in Nevada and how putting together a comprehensive psychiatric medical group can work to address that need. Prior to medical school, he worked as a health care consultant and analyst for Kaiser Permanente in California to improve the quality and accessibility of health care services.

He enjoys providing psychiatric evaluations in emergency departments and in acute medical hospitals as part of the consult/liaison service with Focus Mental Health Solutions. In his free time he enjoys a nice steak dinner or playing tennis while playing with his two dogs, a Doberman and Weimaraner watch.

Mustafa Rawaf, D.O.

Partner

Dr. Rawaf is a partner with Focus Mental Health Solutions, Medical Director of Seven Hills Hospital and Lionheart Recovery Center, and Principal Investigator at IMA Research. He earned his BS in Psychobiology from UCLA, an MS in Medical Science from Boston University (with a published thesis on racial disparities in hypertension treatment), and his medical degree from Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year of training. He is double board certified in psychiatry and addiction medicine.

He currently treats patients in inpatient mental health facilities, emergency rooms, and hospital settings, and he has conducted clinical trials since 2013. Fluent in Spanish and Arabic, Dr. Rawaf is
passionate about improving mental health outcomes in underserved communities. His clinical interests include bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, addiction, and consult-liaison psychiatry.

Tarik Alshaikh, D.O.

Dr. Alshaikh is a board certified psychiatrist who has practiced in various psychiatric settings, including Inpatient, Outpatient, Addictions, Consultation-Liaison, Corrections and Geriatric Psychiatry. He graduated magna cum laude from Northern Illinois University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, and a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Alshaikh completed medical school with a D.O. degree at Western University of Health Sciences. He completed his psychiatric residency at University of Nevada School of Medicine in 2015. He also served as Chief Resident during his fourth year of residency, at which time he was awarded “Master of PRITE” for achieving the highest score (98th percentile nationwide) on the Psychiatry Resident-In-Training Examination.

Dr. Alshaikh has been a member of Focus Mental Health Solutions since graduating residency and has served as the Early Career Psychiatrist representative for the Nevada Psychiatric Association.

Austin Christensen, M.D.

Dr. Christensen grew up in Bloomfield Hills, MI. He graduated from University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine in 2017. He served as chief resident during his residency training at the UNLV School of Medicine. He was involved in research throughout his training and has multiple publications in the area of Schizophrenia. In 2021, Dr. Christensen received advanced certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C).

Dr. Christensen currently sees patients in several different settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, emergency rooms, and in a consult and liaison role. His practice approach is to treat the patient as a whole. He is dedicated to providing the best in diagnosis and treatment to put his patients on the path to healing and enriched living. Dr. Christensen enjoys spending time with his family, vacations, and is an avid fan of baseball.

Johanna Maurer, APRN

Johanna is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience providing comprehensive mental health care across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her clinical experience spans the lifespan, from pediatric through geriatric populations, allowing her to develop a broad and well-rounded understanding of the diverse needs of individuals at every stage of life. In 2024, Johanna earned her Master of Science in Nursing, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Nevada.
Having spent much of her adolescence and young adulthood living overseas, Johanna developed an appreciation for cultural diversity, different perspectives, and the unique experiences that shape each individual. Her dedication to serving others extends beyond her clinical practice through volunteer work with medical organizations throughout the Middle East. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to providing compassionate, respectful, and culturally responsive care for individuals from all walks of life.
Johanna takes a genuine, thoughtful, and straightforward approach to mental health care. She places particular emphasis on active listening, establishing trust, and creating a strong therapeutic relationship. Thomas Chang, M.D.

Dr. Chang graduated and obtained his MD degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2019. He relocated to Las Vegas for residency training in psychiatry at Southern Hills Hospital. He served as chief resident in his final year of residency and upon graduation in 2023, joined Focus Mental Health Solutions. Dr. Chang sees patients in the inpatient setting, treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders. He is committed to utilizing evidence-based treatments along with an overall holistic approach that takes into account the psychological, social, and environmental factors that play a crucial role in a person’s well-being.

Jacob Christensen, D.O.

Dr. Jacob Christensen, a general psychiatrist, brings a unique blend of expertise and empathy to his practice. Raised in the vibrant landscapes of Las Vegas and Northern Utah, Dr. Christensen developed a deep understanding of the diverse psychological needs within communities. He pursued his passion for mental health by studying psychology at Utah State University before embarking on his medical journey at Midwestern University. After earning his medical degree, Dr. Christensen honed his skills during residency training in psychiatry at Southern Hills Hospital, where he refined his approach to patient-centered care and evidence-based practices.

Dr. Christensen’s approach is deeply rooted in his commitment to understanding the individual behind the diagnosis. Justin Edwards, D.O.

Dr. Justin Edwards is a general Psychiatrist in Las Vegas, NV, who was raised in Southern Utah and studied Exercise Science and Business Management at Brigham Young University. He trained locally in Southern Nevada and graduated from medical school at Touro University Nevada. He completed his residency training in Psychiatry at the Sunrise Health GME Consortium at Southern Hills Hospital, where he was elected to the position of Chief Resident in his last year of training. Dr. Edwards has a special interest in Consult/Liaison and outpatient Psychiatry.

In his free time, Dr. Edwards enjoys woodworking, sports, spending time with his family and two puppies, going to concerts, and listening to audiobooks.

Brenner Meacham, D.O.

Dr. Brenner Meacham is a general psychiatrist in Las Vegas, Nevada who was raised in Idaho and studied political science at Boise State University. He graduated from medical school at Touro University Nevada and completed his residency training in psychiatry at the Sunrise Health GME Consortium in Las Vegas. He was elected to the position of Chief Resident in his final year of residency training. Dr. Meacham has a special interest in Consult/Liason Psychiatry.

Jennifer Onaga, D.O.

Dr. Onaga is a compassionate and dedicated psychiatrist practicing in Nevada, committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based mental health care to individuals across a wide range of emotional and psychiatric concerns. With a patient-centered approach, Dr. Onaga believes that effective psychiatric care begins with listening, understanding each patient’s unique experiences, and developing a treatment plan tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Krista Pinard, M.D.

Dr. Pinard is a board-certified Psychiatrist licensed to practice medicine in the State of Nevada since 2017. She attended medical school at the University of Florida College of Medicine, graduating in 2013. She went on to complete a residency training program in General Psychiatry at the University of Florida, during which time she was elected to the position of Chief Resident in her final year of residency. Dr. Pinard has served in many different clinical and academic settings, including inpatient psychiatric facilities and VA hospitals. She has experience in treating a wide variety of psychiatric disorders and extensive knowledge in utilizing multiple treatment modalities including medications, psychotherapy and somatic interventions.

Sheyda Seyedan, D.O.

Dr. Seyedan is currently a practicing adult psychiatrist in the inpatient settings of Las Vegas, NV. She was born and raised in Arizona where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology as well as a master’s degree in medical pharmacology at the University of Arizona. Dr. Seyedan earned her doctorate at Des Moines University in Iowa and completed a psychiatry residency at the Kirk Kerkorian UNLV School of Medicine. She has served as the Southern Chapter President of the Nevada Psychiatric Association underscoring her commitment to enhancing and delivering high-quality mental health services in Southern Nevada. Dr. Seyedan practices using the bio-psychosocial model of psychiatric disorders and applies elements of the cognitive behavioral approach during her medication management appointments.

Pius A. Atu DNP, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with expertise in general psychiatric practice specializing in all areas of mid-level care and treatment. He is a clinical adjunct preceptor for Eastern Kentucky University. He earned his Nurse practitioner degree at Washburn University, Florida International University and completed his clinical learning practice at Southern VA health care system in Las Vegas Nevada. Mr. Atu has vast Psychiatry experience working with the Veterans at the VA. Health Care system. Mr. Atu also have over 7 years’ experience working for Focus Mental Health solution. He is a Member of the America psychiatry nurse practitioner association, AIDS health foundation and VHA Psychiatry research group. Brandon Dabu, APRN

Brandon Dabu, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than a decade of experience in mental health care, beginning in community mental health in California in 2011. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2014 and his Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatry from the University of South Alabama in 2023.

Brandon provides psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and supportive treatment in both outpatient and inpatient settings. He collaborates closely with patients and healthcare professionals to address conditions including depression, anxiety, addiction, psychotic disorders, and mood disorders. He believes effective mental health care begins with listening, building trust, and understanding each patient’s unique experiences and goals. Beverly Driskill, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C

I am a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner with experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care in outpatient, inpatient, telehealth settings. Ispecialize in mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, substance use disorders, and dual-diagnosis treatment. My approach is collaborative, respectful, and centered on helping each patient feel heard, understood, and supported.

Tina Sajadi, APRN, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014 and later completed her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2022. In 2024, she became a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Her diverse background in nursing, primary care, and mental health allows her to bring a well-rounded perspective to patient care.

Tina is committed to providing compassionate, nonjudgmental care and creating a safe and supportive environment where patients feel heard and understood. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family. Jon obtained his degree as a professional Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He has a strong commitment to mental health and specializes in patient-centered, holistic care that strives to meet the individual needs of every patient. Noel Diao, PMHNP

Noel Diao is a board-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner offering mental health services for emotional and physical wellbeing, including psychiatric medication management. He received his Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Charles Drew University California and Post Masters Certificate for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University Missouri. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, He worked as an ICU-RN for ten years.
